Smart IPTV (also known as SIPTV) is the most widely used IPTV app for Samsung and LG Smart TVs. It requires a one-time activation fee of €5.49 after a 7-day free trial. This guide walks you through the full activation and setup process.
Step 1 — Install Smart IPTV
Samsung Smart TV
- Press the Home button on your Samsung remote
- Navigate to Apps → search for "Smart IPTV"
- Install the app
- Open Smart IPTV — it will display your TV's MAC address
- Write down or photograph this MAC address — you need it for activation
LG Smart TV
- Press the Home button and open the LG Content Store
- Search for "Smart IPTV" and install
- Open the app to find your MAC address
Step 2 — Add Your M3U Playlist
- On your computer or phone, open a browser and visit the Smart IPTV website
- Enter your TV's MAC address in the field provided
- Paste your M3U URL in the playlist field
- Optionally add an EPG URL for the programme guide
- Click Send to TV
- On your TV, restart Smart IPTV — your channels will load
Important: Smart IPTV stores your playlist server-side linked to your MAC address. You only need to re-submit the URL if it changes. The app on your TV loads from this stored link automatically.
Step 3 — Activate Smart IPTV (After 7-Day Trial)
Smart IPTV is free for 7 days. After the trial, you pay a one-time €5.49 lifetime fee per TV:
- Open Smart IPTV on your TV
- Navigate to Settings → Activation
- Follow the on-screen payment instructions (PayPal or credit card via the SIPTV website)
- Payment is linked to your TV's MAC address — it is permanent and never expires
Set Up EPG (Programme Guide)
- Go back to the Smart IPTV website
- In the EPG field, enter your EPG URL (available in your BestIPTVToday account details)
- Click Send and restart the app on your TV
- The guide will populate within a few minutes
Common Smart IPTV Issues
- Channels not loading: Re-submit the M3U URL on the website and restart the app
- App shows "Trial expired": Complete the activation payment on the SIPTV website
- EPG not showing: Ensure EPG URL is correct; EPG may take up to 30 minutes to fully load
- New channels missing: Re-submit the same M3U URL to refresh the channel list
